Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the Financial Year ending

This statement is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015
We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.

Organisation’s structure

Our business is organised into two brands; Lyons Holiday Parks; which operates 20 caravan parks across the UK providing caravan, camping and touring holidays. And  Marian Resort and Spa, which provides luxury food and beverages, leisurely activities, treatments and accommodation. We are a privately owned Company, and our head office is in the UK. We generally operate in the UK and do not normally operate directly outside this area.

Our business

We are a family run business and have been for almost 100 years, we’re proud to say we’re the largest Holiday Park provider in Wales, with a huge choice and the warmest welcome.

We have multiple parks across North Wales and Cumbria with incredible facilities, regular entertainment, and blockbuster events.  from action-packed family fun by the coast, to tranquil countryside escapes.

We are committed to providing first-class holidays and ownership experiences, in the best destinations across North Wales and Cumbria, featuring modern and comfortable accommodation, with top rated entertainment and activities.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain is very diverse, we engage with a large number of suppliers many of them local to our parks including:  Manufacturers of Caravans, suppliers of food & beverage, hygiene products, equipment suppliers, waste disposal, utilities to name a few.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we publish the Policy on our website for public access and seek assurances from our suppliers that they have appropriate Policies in place.

We have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
  • Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier adherence to our values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking.  We seek to ensure that we only deal with suppliers who are reputable and share our values. We have a compliance team, which consists of involvement from the following departments:

  • Legal
  • Accounts
  • Human resources
  • Procurement
  • Sales

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff.

Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking

We use the following key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective we have been to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:

  • To raise awareness of slavery and human trafficking by bringing the contents of this Policy to the attention of our staff
  • Publish it on our Website
  • Require staff that induct new employees to introduce employees to the Policy
  • Review all existing supply chains and request details of their own Policies

Covid 19

We have reviewed our systems and training and adapted to comply with the additional requirements of the pandemic.

Board Approval

This statement has been approved by the Board of Lyons Holiday Parks Limited and a Director has been authorised to sign the statement.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31.01.2023.
